Description
Pretty enterprising butchers there in Pennsylvania….this is actually two thinner (used) blocks that have been sandwiched together to make one thick block. And what a great size for a galley kitchen (narrow). Same material on both, both hard end grain maple. Dimensions are 25 1/2″ x 50 1/2″ x 15″ thick. Threaded rods are on ends instead of on sides, and have been tightened and plugged. Straight joinery. Six original massive legs are made of hard maple also, they’ve been doweled, are removable, and 18″ long to make block sit 33″ high. Sanded thrice, has been refinished in mineral oil (the way your great grandparents would have used it). Ready to go! Click on pictures and gallery for larger version and more details.
