Description
The largest block in our inventory! This one was in service in Goldstein’s Corner Store (founders of Giant Eagle). A full 18 square feet of working space. Double Dovetailed construction, the block itself is 35″ wide, 71″ long, 15 1/2″ thick at it’s thickest point. (Really thick). Vertically dovetailed from hard maple, six threaded rods go through the block and help hold it together. Original 18″ maple legs make the block sit 33 1/2″. No logos on sides, no date stamp on bottom. Can raise it and make it countertop height for an extra fee if you want. If you want a block that shows the wear, this one has two distinct valleys where the butchers worked on it. Sanded three times, has been refinished in mineral oil the way your great grandparents would have used it. Ready to go! On display in Chamblee, Georgia Warehouse. Note to self: Block weighs over 1200 lbs.
