Description
If you want a clean, LEVEL, really thick Double Dovetailed Butcher Block, this is it. One of several blocks we got that came out of Bi-Lo Grocery stores, mostly in East Georgia and South Carolina. Over five feet long, over two and a half feet wide, and a full 16″ thick (it doesn’t get any better), it sits period correct at 34″ high on four original simple 18″ hard maple legs that are square and the top and taper to a round bottom. Vertically dovetailed, five threaded rods go thru it and hold it together. Over 12 1/2 Square Feet of Work Space. Sanded thrice, has been refinished in mineral oil (the way your great grandparents would have used it). Ready to go! Click on picture for larger version and more detail.
