Description
A Bally Double Dovetailed Block, made there at their headquarters in Philadelphia. Bally merged with Michigan Maple Block Company out of Petoskey, Michigan in the 1920’s. Paper decal on end did not survive sanding process, but prior picture is shown) Block is 30″ x 60″ x 10″, Vertically dovetailed, seven threaded rods go through the block and hold it together. Some nice wear, fairly level, original, removable wide dowel 10 1/2″ legs on Casters are maple also. Currently shows four legs, could have six. Refinished. Sanded thrice, finished the way your great grandparents would have used it, left natural, with only mineral oil added. Click on picture for larger version and more detail. Weight: 600 lbs., FOB.
