Description
Great looking block! Another big boy, this one from Beachwood, Ohio. Fabulously constructed of double dovetails, they travel vertically the entire 15″ depth of the block. Block is 30 1/2″ x 51″ x 15″ sits 33″ high at it’s highest point. Five threaded rods go through the block and hold it together. Probably a Michigan Maple, a Boos, or a Bally, as all three did double dovetails. Fabulous valley from side edges to middle that is a total of 3″ deep. Removable wide dowel 18 inch turned legs are maple also. The entire block has been sanded thrice and refinished in the light brown BriWax. Would make nice addition to kitchen as island.
