Description
Fabulous for a galley kitchen. The two foot depth combined with longer lengths are rare, and this is one of the best. Originally in a Hill’s Grocery Store (later Winn Dixie bought them out), it’s double dovetailed and really thick (15 3/4″ ) Very level top, it sits 36″ high (countertop height) on 20 1/4″ hard maple turned legs. Vertically pieced together with end grain hard maple, four threaded rods go through the block horizontally and hold it all together. Sanded thrice, finished the way your great grandparents would have used it, left natural, with only mineral oil added. Would make nice addition to kitchen as island.
